Environment Conservation and Community Development

Jane Kisakye is a freelance consultant in environment conservation and community development.  In the past, she worked with the following grant-making programs:  the environment project of the Nile Basin Initiative; the Public-Private Alliance Grants Program for Land O’Lakes Inc in Uganda; the Canada Fund for Local Initiatives under the Canadian International Development Agency (CIDA), and the USAID-funded Action Program for the Environment in Uganda.  During that time, she acquired skills and experience in establishing small grants programs, coordinating grants activities, project management, monitoring and evaluation, and organizational development. In addition, she worked with the Development through Conservation Project of CARE International in Uganda, as well as Kawanda Agricultural Research Station. She has an MSc in Agronomy obtained at the University of Florida, Gainesville, USA, and a BSc in Agriculture from Makerere University in Kampala, Uganda.
