Hastings Nhlane
Hastings is an Impact Investment enthusiast. He has spent the past 8 years managing impact investment programs in the areas of SME financing, access to markets and skills development. He is the Founder of ACADES Malawi, a social enterprise that is investing in youth and smallholder farmers through financing, provision of markets and skills development. ACADES has organized over 10,000 youth in agribusiness, provided financing through input loans to over 3,000 youth farmers and provided profitable markets to over 3,000 farmers and trained over 7,000 youth in agribusiness.
Hastings has also coordinated several entrepreneurship acceleration programs in Malawi and has lead/participated in several policy conversations in the areas of employment creation, entrepreneurship, youth economic empowerment and gender lens investing. He is a recipient of Planning for Impact Award by Segal Family Foundation which is given to local change makers for implementing high community impact programs. He is also a 2020 Africa Visionary Fellow under Africa Visionary Fellowship which is a community of African leaders that are providing sustainable solutions to local challenges.
