Documentary about 2008 SEED Award Winner "Lighting Up Hope And Communities" nominated for Audience Choice Award at PovertyCure International Short Film Festival
"The Solar Women of Totogalpa" from Nicaraguan 2008 SEED Award Winner "Lighting Up Hope And Communities" are portrayed in the documentary „Adelante Con El Sol“ which is currently running in the official selection of the 2013 PovertyCure International Short Film Festival. The video shows the women's life and work in rural North West Nicaragua. They design, build and distribute renewable energy products such as solar ovens, solar dryers and solar cooked/dried food products, thus promoting a sustainable lifestyle in their communities.
The documentary is now officially nominated for the $3,000 Audience Choice Award of the PovertyCure International Short Film Festival.
