Patricio Sanders is an engineer by profession and is the president of the Scientific Research Association of Mozambique (ACIMO). He holds a master degree in Engineering specializing in Computer Complexes, Systems and Computer Networks at the Technical University of Civil Aviation of Latvia. He is involved with several research organizations both as a lecturer and supervisor of scientific multi-partner research works and graduate study programs. He has received various awards and distinctions internationally because of his scholarly works particularly from the International Biographical Centre of Cambridge in England and the American Biographical Institute. Aside from being active in academia, he acts as senior policy advisor to the government of Mozambique particularly in the field IT policies, instruments and projects. He is also a member of the implementing commission on the establishment of the Management Center of Knowledge on Climate Change in Mozambique.
