Over the past 20 years SEED has promoted entrepreneurship for sustainable development through the support provided to both eco-inclusive Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) and Business Development Services (BDS) providers multiple countries in Africa, Asia and South America.

It is well known by now that SMEs are vital for the employment and development of the countries and communities where they operate. And their role in the social, environmental and economic empowerment of society is increasingly recognised among more ecosystem actors, including BDS providers, who work with eco-inclusive SMEs to further strengthen them and empower them to multiply their impact.

But, what exactly is the contribution and impact of these eco-inclusive enterprises to the triple bottom line and further global goals such as the SDGs? How prepared are SEED BDS providers to support eco-inclusive SMEs? And how can we scale SMEs impact for a more impactful transformative change?
