SEED participates in Global Green Growth Week 2021

On October 25, SEED's Head of Programmes Mirko Zuerker presented Eco-inclusive Enterprises Driving Green Recovery at GGGWeek2021. Green recovery is an unprecedented opportunity to address a triple crisis of debt distress, biodiversity loss, and climate change impacts in developing countries and emerging economies.

SEED has built up key expertise on SME solutions that contribute to green recovery and an SDG-proof world. The recently launched Green Recovery Snapshot, which builds on in-depth interviews and data, details SME roles and challenges in a green recovery, and suggests recommendations to government, donors and financial actors on enhancing support for SMEs in a green recovery.

GGGWeek2021 featured high-level panel discussions, keynote speeches, interactive sessions and debates that highlighted examples of solutions and best practices to green COVID-19 recovery, develop Green New Deals to accelerate the implementation of the Paris Agreement, engaged with global green growth leaders and practitioners, forge partnerships, and provided participants with learning and sharing opportunities across a range of sectors and topics to advance the global efforts to build back better.
